Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Full mouth rehabilitation is when the majority of the teeth in the mouth are restored to create a brand new smile. Full mouth rehabilitation is an opportunity to start again after your mouth has been deteriorated by cavities, gum disease, accidents or bite problems. This treatment often involves a combination of crowns, veneers, dental implants, onlays and fixed bridgework. Full mouth rehabilitation uses a combination of all of the skills Forum Dentistry have learnt through many years of advanced continuing dental education including TMJ, bite and treatment planning.
One of the most important aspects of successful full mouth rehabilitation is obtaining the correct bite and TMJ position.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation (FMR) defines what 21st Century Dentistry has to offer. It is evidence of the progress dentistry has made over the last century.
Full-mouth reconstruction used to mean a long protracted, disjointed series of procedures with a difficult-to-see endpoint that possibly could include extracting all the teeth and making dentures.
Now because of improved dental hygiene, people are keeping their teeth longer, but they become worn down and discoloured. Plus there may be a collection of mismatched dental work from years past. The bite probably has become misaligned causing TMJ/facial pain and neck tension, and the teeth no longer support the facial structure causing a tired, aged appearance.
Not only can FMR correct all these problems, but you can pre-select the colour, shape, size and arrangement of your soon-to-be perfect teeth and smile.
Temporary crowns are worn for 4-6 weeks while the laboratory custom-creates the all-porcelain crowns that are seated and permanently bonded to the prepared teeth.
The time required to complete a Full Mouth Rehabilitation can range from as little as 2 to 3 visits to 6 or more, depending on the complexity of the case and the desired result.
